Dear Caretta caretta,
the time I spent looking for you on the beach was the most rewarding of my life, even on those nights of hard walking when I could not find you I enjoyed waiting for you. I will never forget when you came to lay your precious eggs, you were silent and mysterious, a huge creature with slow movements, impressive strength and extreme determination. You always showed up unexpectedly, which filled our nights with intense excitement. We tried our best to protect you and your babies from all the threats that our fellow humans caused to you. We all hope to see you again next summer and we expect you to encourage your friends to come to the sunny and beautiful Katelios, where you will find a peaceful dark tidy beach.
