The main purpose of the Katelios Group for the research and protection of marine and terrestial life is to protect the natural environment on the island of Kefalonia, Greece. We believe that all life is precious, and that we should take care of the environment where we live.

Our main activity is the conservation of the endangered Loggerhead sea turtle Caretta caretta. To protect the local population of sea turtles, we constantly monitor their status in Kefalonia through our Turtle project.
At the same time, we try to reach and inform as many interested people as possible, children, locals and tourists with our Education programme.
Finally, we are also concerned with the sustainable development of the island in general and of the southern area of Kefalonia in specific.
