We ask from each volunteer a small contribution to the group.
This is a small contribution in the form of donation for the maintenance of the work of the Katelios Group.
The Katelios Group cannot provide any kind of financial support to the volunteers.
Volunteers have to pay for their own food, trip and personal insurance.
Accommodation is free in our "field research station".
The minimum stay is one month, because of the training that volunteers need in the beginning.
Just as an indication,
last summer volunteers paid 20-30€ each per week for the kitty to cook common meals (and this can be great fun, see picture right). This means that if you stay for a month, you will have to pay at least 100-130€ for the kitty. You should then add some money for all your personal expenses. You can change traveller's cheques in some shops in Katelios, but they will take a commission. You can use your bank card in Skala (7 km), but the cash machine is not always working. There are bank machines also in Argostoli, where you will have a chance to go at some point. It is better to come with at least some money in cash.
